(L-R) Lieutenant Jimmy Bartholomew & Sergeant Thomas Howard

Sheriff Jerry Turlich and PPSO would like to take this opportunity to recognize the actions of Lieutenant Jimmy Bartholomew and Sergeant Thomas Howard.

On January 1, 2021, at approximately 12:58am, Lt. Bartholomew and Sgt. Howard responded to a residential structure fire in Buras. Upon arrival, they entered the engulfed residence and assisted the two elderly owners safely from the interior of the residence.

Thank you to Lt. Bartholomew and Sgt. Howard for going above and beyond the call of duty and for your continual dedication to the citizens of Plaquemines Parish.
