The Corrections Division is overseen by Warden Denise Narcisse, who has been with the Sheriff's Office since 1994. She manages the 800+ bed Correctional Center in Davant, La.

The Sheriff's Office Correctional Center is a new 800+ bed facility located in Davant, La. and opened on Feb. 11, 2015. It is was built over 18ft in the air and is inside the federal hurricane protection levee system for this area of the parish. 

All trustees are housed at the Correctional Center, where they are assigned to Inmate Labor Crews who work with Non-Profit Organizations throughout Plaquemines Parish.

1. No contraband
2. No tape on envelopes
3. No binder paper protectors
4. No stamps
5. No blank pages
6. No cash / No personal checks
7. No hard books
8. No stickers on envelopes or letters or cards
9. No cards that contain electronics/pop up cards/music
10. Only standard size cards are allowed
11. No items purchased outside of the facility for the inmate
12. No staples on letters or envelope

Inmate Visitation Information

All persons requesting to visit an inmate must fill out the Inmate Visitation Application and mail it back to the Correctional Center at the address on the form.

All visitors must arrive 15 minutes prior to visitation or they will not be allowed to enter the facility.

**As of August 1, 2020 the Detention Center will no longer be accepting newspapers.  Books and magazines are no longer accepted / ordered from anyone outside the Detention Center.  All books / magazines will be ordered through commissary once a month.**
